Harry began piano lessons with his father at the age of five. From then on, the piano became a primary focus of his time, and he achieved his ABRSM Diploma in Piano Performance at the young age of 16. After finishing his studies at Sutton Grammar School, Harry went on to attend the University of Oxford on its prestigious music course. There, Harry nurtured not only his performance skills, but also his love of harmony, composition and improvisation. He also was able to develop his love of jazz, taking over as the musical director of the Oxford University Jazz Orchestra.
Since then, Harry has been enjoying a blossoming freelance career, which has seen him play with legends of the London jazz scene, including John Harle, Riley Stone-Lonergan, Steve Fishwick, Dave O’Higgins and Alison Neale, and at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, The Sheldonian Theatre, The Savoy Hotel and The Vortex.
In his lessons, Harry always aims to pass on the knowledge and spirit of the world-class teaching he has and continues to receive. His understanding of the fundamentals of music runs deep, allowing him to cater to any student’s musical interests—be it Bach or Beyonce!
